Georgie Dighero’s paintings begin with an everyday image which she develops through a process of observation and experimentation.  Her work plays with the duality between falseness which is the illusion of depth in a painting and reality which is its flatness.  She explores this contradiction by experimenting with gesture and colour to create tensions which express her ideas and emotions.  Through her work she hopes to engage with and provoke personal responses from others.

She lives in Wandsworth, London, and has studied for some time at Putney School of Art – painting generally in oil and occasionally in watercolour.  She can be contacted below.
